On the Wayne

Posted by Matt Withers on September 6, 2006 2:05 PM |

Regular readers of my Wales on Sunday column may be aware of my mockery of Caerphilly MP Wayne David, the ultra-loyal Blairite who has never disagreed with his party's leadership on any issue ever.

Well, providing yet further evidence of my complete inability to read the political weather, Mr David resigned as a PPS about six minutes ago over Mr Tony's refusal to set out his resignation timetable, along with fellow Welsh Labour MPs Ian Lucas and Mark Tami.

I sense an apology coming along at the weekend.
