Attended a pub quiz in Glasgow earlier this week. We came a creditable second - we would have won had we known what year the two pound coin was introduced - but we did win the bonus round, turning the quiz sheet into a paper aeroplane and throwing it further than anyone else.
Our prize? A paintbrush with a picture of Scottish First Minister Jack McConnell taped to it. No-one gave us an explanation why. Odd.
PS The two pound coin was introduced in 1998, if you're still scratching your head.
