Labour's Welsh press officer has started beginning his press releases with the words "Dear media comrades".
Comrades! That's not very New Labour. Perhaps it's what Rhodri Morgan had in mind when he talked about "clear red water" between Wales and Westminster.
Update: Said press officer gets in touch: "As far as I can recall I have been using the term of endearment 'media comrades' since I started dealing with the Welsh media - about three years ago," he says, once again highlighting how abreast of the actualité this blog is.
