Green behind the gills

Posted by Matt Withers on August 31, 2007 11:13 AM |

Received today the agenda for next week's Executive Committee of Blaenau Gwent Council, along with minutes from the previous meeting and all the related appendices and reference documents.

One of the issues being discussed is the performance so far of Blaenau Gwent's 'Green Team', the council body ensuring the council remains "at the forefront of environmental sustainability", "protects and enhances the local government" and focuses on "waste strategy including recycling". It does, however, concede that one of the barriers it has to overcome is a "lack of joined-up thinking".

All impressive stuff, and could only be improved had they e-mailed the documents to journalists rather than sent it through the post on 462 pages of A4 paper.
