Chelsea Dagger

Posted by Matt Withers on September 25, 2007 12:56 PM |

Three weeks ago, in a not entirely serious guide to the 2007/08 political season, I compared Plaid Cymru to Chelsea FC.

IF THEY WERE A FOOTBALL TEAM THEY WOULD BE: Chelsea. Riding high at the top after decades of only being able to carp from the sidelines while others won the big prizes. Now in among the big boys with real power: but at what cost to their principles?

Blogger Che Grav-ara picked up on it.

But now Chelsea have collapsed into disarray. A breakdown in communication between the various powers that be, with no-one entirely sure who is in charge, clashes among the main players, and suspicion and distrust the order of the day, have led to the loss of their greatest ever leader. Let's hope the analogy doesn't continue any further, eh?
