Hello Hello!

According to The Independent, raffish playboy Sir Dai Llewellyn is to have another expensive and futile pop at winning electoral office in Wales, running for the Cardiff North seat at the next General Election.

Sir Dai ran for the same seat in May's Assembly Election (or "local elections", as The Indy would have it). And what a superb performance he put up: first off, he spent what little campaigning time he did put in in the centre of Cardiff, which isn't in the constituency he was running for. Then he popped into a local film rental store where he announced his policy of making it illegal to return videos that hadn't been rewound, only to be told that nobody has videos anymore.

Still, even that must have proved thirsty work, judging by the gusto with which he attacked the wine at the election count. If I was Julie Morgan I wouldn't be too concerned - although I would wonder about my national profile, given that the Independent appears to believe she's called Sally.
