Phew! Following last night's feast of political programming (Carl Roberts eats chips in Chepstow on Dragon's Eye, Mai Davies eats chips in Ebbw Vale on Sharp End), more heavyweight current affairs follows tonight.
Lembit Öpik, the Montgomeryshire MP and partner of one-half of chart-averse novelty pop act the Cheeky Girls, is one of the guests on noted political outlet Al Murray's Happy Hour. Presumably, as Mr Öpik has repeatedly insisted to journalists he wants to concentrate on serious rather than "trivial" issues, Mr Murray will be grilling him on Liberal Democrat housing policy, his views on further devolution to the National Assembly and whether electoral reform would remain a deal-breaker in any coalition negotiations following a general election.
Or not. According to one paper this morning Mr Öpik stands next to a globe with a cricket bat trying to bat away toy asteroids being thrown at it by Al Murray and a Cheeky Girl. Sounds like Frost and Nixon all over again.
